We are living through a moment of significant change and challenge, and the people we walk alongside feel it acutely. The students in our Learning In Style classrooms and the women living at Sarah’s Oasis are naming real needs: housing, safety and stability, belonging, navigating uncertainty, and staying connected to family, spirituality, and hope.
Many of us are asking: What is being asked of us right now? What are the needs we are hearing from our communities? Where are people experiencing grief, uncertainty, division, isolation, or a renewed hunger for meaning and connection? And how might we learn from one another as we seek to meet this moment and those living through it where they are?
We hope to bring together small groups of local leaders for intentional conversations, either in person or on Zoom, to listen, share experiences, and explore possibilities for collaboration. This is not intended to be another meeting or presentation. It is a space for genuine conversation, reflection, and mutual learning, grounded in the experiences of immigrant neighbors rather than in assumptions about them.
